The May Edition 2025

Hi, and welcome to the May edition of the Journal. As the months unfold, I’m reminded of how swiftly things can change, move on and build. This month has entailed lots of beautiful (and sometimes hard) moments of healing, transformation and growth, which have been rich in meaning. Hence, I look forward to sharing the lessons I’ve learnt and experiences I had with you in this edition.

Three Learnings

1

What you give you receive. It all comes back to you. Everything is returned to you in some way. When you give without expectation, when you show up authentically, when you give your time, attention, or care, the universe finds ways to return that energy to you. Every action, every word, every intention leaves an imprint. It matters.

2

People don’t care as much as you think. They don’t always think about you or in truth, they probably don’t think about you at all. People don’t spend their time analyzing your every word or move. They don’t judge everything you do or wait for you to make a mistake. They don’t care about every detail. You’re overthinking it. You are the one that cares—perhaps too much. Because all this thinking is taking you out of the moment. The time, energy and space you dedicate to these worries only pulls you out of the present moment, where life is actually happening. You become disconnected from what’s in front of you, consumed by thoughts about what might be happening, what could happen or what others may be thinking. And the more you think, the more you lose your authenticity. The less you experience life fully and the more you lose yourself.

3

Success does not mean sacrifice. Success does not require you to push yourself to your limits. It may be challenging, you might need to leave your comfort zone, and you will need to let go of some things in order to make time and space for what you are working towards, but it does not need to break you. You don’t need to skip breaks to get the work done. You don’t need to burn yourself out to be hard working. You are allowed to step back. You need to rest. Rest is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Slowing down and pausing does not make you less worthy, less ambitious, or less capable. Success is meant to be sustainable. It’s not rest or success. It’s resting so you can be successful.

Two Intentions

In the coming month I will...

1

create space for creativity and less comparison. By connecting with myself, I will listen more to the heart than to others, and focus on what I want to do, how I want to feel and who I want to be.

2

take time to pause. When it feels like too much, I will allow myself to slow down, retreat and connect with myself. I will remember that it’s okay to breathe, calm the nervous system and just be.

One Highlight

1

In May one of my dreams was fulfilled. Since the beginning of the month, I’m teaching yoga classes at the beautiful Lamor Studio in Lehel, Munich. This space feels like home and what I particularly love about the studio is that the smaller classes allow me to truly connect with individuals and meet them exactly where they are on the mat. I am beyond grateful to be part of the Lamor team and I’m so excited for everything that’s coming. On another note, May was filled with sunshine, long walks with Finley through the English Garden, warm hugs, and moments with my family—all of which made my heart full.
