The April Edition 2025

Hi, I’m so happy to share the April edition of The Journal with you. April has been so good with lots of warmth, sunshine, golden hours, and deep conversations with my favourite people. This month has been full of change, shifting from mind to heart, from fear to trust, and from doing to being. It has been wild, and I’ve loved exactly that so much—all the ups and downs, the emotions, the breakdowns and the breakthroughs. Therefore, I hope you find meaning, inspiration and joy in reading my words in this edition.

Three Learnings

1

The pursuit of your happiness is what matters most. And no one else is responsible for it except for you. You need to find what makes you feel alive. You need to understand what brings you joy, what makes your heart feel warm and at peace. You need to find out what you are passionate about. You cultivate your happiness by listening to your heart. And the truth is, it really doesn’t matter what others say, think, or do—because this life is yours. If you chase the expectations of others, you may find approval, but not fulfillment. If you silence your needs to fit into someone else’s version of success, you may find acceptance, but not real joy. So choose what feels right for you. It’s about you. Your happiness is about your heart.

2

There will always be someone better at something—someone smarter, wiser, more talented, prettier, stronger, faster or more successful. But that doesn’t change anything about you. That doesn’t impact who you are. It doesn’t diminish your uniqueness, your beauty and your worth. The things that make you who you are cannot be taken away from you. And your value isn’t determined by comparison. In truth, there need not be any competition. There is enough for us all. It’s you against them, but you against you. Work on being better than you were yesterday. Work on being kinder, more honest, more hard working, more wise, strong, vulnerable, compassionate and loving. All while knowing that your best is already enough. That you are enough exactly as you are.

3

Energy is a currency. Every day, you are spending it—on your work, your relationships, your thoughts, your emotions. And while you have energy givers that make you feel motivated, positive, passionate and recharged, there are also energy takers that leave you feeling tired, stressed, negative, frustrated, and upset. And the thing is that life will always have both, energy givers and energy drainers. But the key is balance—knowing when to pour your energy out and when to pull it back in. You need to identify them and invest your energy consciously. You need to know how and when to refuel your batteries. You need to protect your energy. Set boundaries. Walk away from what no longer serves you. Pay attention to how you feel. Not everything deserves your time, your attention, your power. Take care of your energy.

Two Intentions

In the coming month I will...

1

create without expectation. I will work on finding beauty in the process without focusing on the outcome. I will let come what comes and go what goes, and let everything work out in the way it does—without control or force.

2

not seek approval in others all the time, but instead deepen the connection to my heart. This will serve as a reminder that my worth is not determined by external validation and that I don’t need permission to take up space, make decisions, or be who I am.

One Highlight

1

April held some beautiful moments that I’m deeply grateful for. My yoga teacher training continued to be a highlight, inviting change and growth in every way possible. Equally, however, I also loved the time I spent with my sister and the rest of my family—and although I always appreciate this, I feel that this month it has been different—even more present, more loving, more compassionate, and somehow even more meaningful. I also found so much bliss in the little (maybe not so little) moments, like kind words from a friend or a heartfelt hug. Another special milestone—one that filled me with purpose—was teaching my first yoga class. It was a magical experience that reaffirmed my vision of creating spaces full of connection and love.
