Hi, I’m so happy you’re reading this. July has been a quiet month full of reflection, slowness, and solitude. It’s been rainy, windy, and not quite like the usual warm, golden summers we hope for. But in its own way, it’s offered space. The kind that invites you inward. Therefore, in this edition I’m sharing some thoughts and reminders that I’ve been holding close. I hope they meet you where you are.

You don’t need to control it all, but you have the power to find solutions. If you’re feeling nervous, instead of spiraling into overthinking, focus on calming your nervous system—breathe deeply, move your body, or simply remind yourself that you are safe in this moment. If you’re feeling sad, allow yourself to feel it fully. Cry if that’s what you need, and let the emotions flow through you. If you feel angry, don’t push it down and find a way to release it. If you’re confused, remember that it’s okay not to have all the answers right now. Whatever it is within you, the more you allow yourself to feel, the lighter it becomes. Let yourself be human. Let yourself feel. Let yourself move through it instead of holding it all in. You don’t need to try to control it, and yet you can act to feel better.

Love as much as you can. For it is love that fulfills us. It’s not material things, not a job, and not success—even though these things can be of meaning—that makes you happy. It’s the quiet moments of connection, the deep conversations, and the acts of kindness that foster happiness. The love you give, whether to others or yourself, is what truly creates a meaningful life. There is nothing that makes your heart feel happier than love. So choose it and feel it. Let love flow in and out of your heart. Let love guide you. Let love be your language. Be love. Love.

Stop explaining myself. Not everyone needs to understand and know everything. You don’t owe anyone any explanation or justification. You don’t have to defend yourself or prove something to someone. You can choose what you want to share and what you don’t. Not every thought, feeling, or decision needs to be understood and approved by others. People will interpret things through their own perspective, shaped by their experiences and beliefs, and that’s outside your control. And not everyone deserves access. Not everyone can be trusted. Not everyone needs to understand or know. What matters is clarity within yourself and the right people will respect that. Release feeling the need to explain, and you will realize that your peace, and energy are more valuable than convincing others to see things your way.

plan less and do more. I will let go of the need for everything to be perfectly planned and figured out. Instead, I will trust and simply begin with one step at a time, letting things work themselves out along the way.
2
listen to what I truly need and want. I will value the choices, decisions and desires of my heart more than the opinions of others to live a life that is more aligned with my passion and purpose.

July hasn’t quite been what I’d hoped for or how I imagined it would be. Between exams and work, it’s been a busy month, leaving little room for family, friends, writing, and many of the things I love. Still, a highlight this month was being part of The Silence Magazine—a passion project I worked on with a group of wonderful individuals. It’s filled with encouraging words, valuable tips, and inspiring conversations. Another highlight was any time spent working on my new big project and moving my body, through yoga, pilates, or running. This is what keeps me going and makes my heart feel at peace and full.
